The past two weeks have been filled with so many exciting things from field trips to fall break.  On October 5th, the third grade classes took a field trip to Honeysuckle Hill Farm. Zoe attended the trip with Mrs. Morris and her fellow classmates. While at the farm, students visited the petting zoo. Zoe loved the pigs! They were her favorite. The third graders got to go through a corn maze, take a hayride, and select a small pumpkin to take home. A peer buddy named Kyle, helped Zoe find her perfect pumpkin. Zoe and Mrs. Morris really enjoyed going on the field trip and had a wonderful time.

October 18th was Kindergarten's field trip to Jackson's Orchid. Mrs. Morris accompanied Zoie and Jayda on their first field trip. Both students were very excited to be going on the trip with their friends. When the students arrived at the Orchid, they were first able to play on the playground. The tractor was Zoie and Jayda's favorite thing to climb on. Kindergarten students then watched a movie on how apple cider is made. They were also able to walk through a corn maze and take a hayride down to a field to find a pumpkin. Zoie and Jayda ran all over the field to find a pumpkin that they liked the best.  After lunch, the students got to visit the petting zoo and go down a very large slide. By the end of the day, both Zoie and Jayda (and Mrs. Morris) were wore out from all of the fun.

This coming week we will be learning about the colors of fall. If possible, please help your child collect different color leaves to bring to school. We will be using them for an activity.
